Who this is for

This is the flagship consultation for an international professional who has accepted—or is close to accepting—a German employment offer and needs the move arranged in a workable order. It is suitable whether you are arriving alone or coordinating the practical questions of an accompanying partner.

What we cover

Before the first call, you send your offer or contract, intended start date, destination city and the questions already keeping you busy. We review employment wording for practical implications, map dependencies between accommodation and Anmeldung, and identify the timing of health insurance, tax identification, bank details and employer onboarding.

During the 90-minute session, we build a dated action map. You receive:

• a personal checklist with owners, dependencies and target dates;
• plain-English notes on probation, notice, working hours and leave in your contract;
• a registration and insurance document list;
• questions to send to HR, the landlord or relocation contact;
• a 30-minute follow-up within four weeks.

Boundaries

Codelabgrid does not issue visas, provide legal representation, find housing, translate certified documents or submit government applications on your behalf. When a question needs a German immigration lawyer, tax adviser or statutory insurer, we will say so and help you frame the referral.

Preparation and timing

Book once you have a written offer and ideally four to twelve weeks before the start date. Redact bank information and unrelated personal identifiers from documents. Sessions take place in English by encrypted video or at our Berlin office by appointment.
