Why Codelabgrid exists
A move for work is rarely one task. A contract start depends on a residence route; registration depends on a suitable address; payroll asks for details that may not yet have arrived. Codelabgrid was founded in Berlin to help people see those connections and act in a sensible order.
Our consultations are led by Anna Keller, an employment mobility adviser with nine years of experience supporting international hires and their families in German companies, research institutes and cultural organisations. Her work sits between employer onboarding and personal relocation planning: translating process, preparing questions and noticing where specialist advice is required.
How we work
We start with the documents and dates you actually have. Advice is written in plain English, organised around dependencies, and limited to the circumstances we can responsibly address. We do not treat one city’s Bürgeramt practice as a universal rule, and we distinguish practical guidance from legal, immigration and tax advice.
Respect matters in both directions. Clients receive candid scope boundaries and an action note after the session. In return, we ask for complete context, timely documents and room to verify details that change between federal states or insurers.
A Berlin base, a Germany-wide view
The office on Leipziger Straße keeps us close to the institutions and workplaces that shape daily arrival in Berlin. Video consultations allow us to support moves to Hamburg, Munich, Cologne, Frankfurt and smaller university and industrial cities without pretending those places work identically.
